A Cozy Day in the Richmond: Elizabeth & Jason’s In-Home Family Session

I spent the afternoon with Elizabeth, Jason, and their little one in their cozy home tucked in the Richmond district of San Francisco. These are the kinds of sessions that remind me why I love documentary-style photography so much—nothing staged, nothing forced, just a family being themselves.

We started off playing with toys in the living room—building blocks, books, a few dance moves. Their home was filled with the kind of light and warmth that makes everything feel a little softer. After soaking in the sweet chaos of home life, we headed out for a walk to Golden Gate Park, just a few blocks away. The pace was slow and playful—stopping to collect leaves, run ahead, or climb a tree.

What I love most about sessions like this is how personal they are. It’s not about perfect poses or matching outfits—it’s about capturing the real stuff: giggles in the hallway or holding hands on the walk home.

These everyday moments are the ones that matter most, and I’m so honored I got to document a little slice of Elizabeth and Jason’s world.
